Hi Pierre!

Thanks for the additional info and the explanation about the QT bug.
I'll be giving it a try sometime in the next few weeks and will report
any issues here if I run into them.
I remember a long time ago (maybe a year or so) there was a problem with
aalib (I think?) not being found - looking for the wrong version or ??
But maybe that was just a fix in the Makefile.

Best,

mmm, i haven't done anything like that, apart from here...

after have installed all the dependencies,
i've done the install (06/09/2007) from the darcs repository with
something like
that :

$ darcs get http://darcs.gephex.org/gephex/gephex--main--0.4
$ cd ./gephex--main--0.4/contrib/
$ svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk ffmpeg
$ cd ..
$ sh ./bootstrap.sh
$ ./configure
$ make
$ sudo make install

(Georg, correct me if i am wrong...)

the only thing which was embarrassing was this qt4.2 bug :

so, it was really a Qt4.2 bug... and to get the Qt4.3 be installed you
must
enable ubuntu backports :
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports

et voila :)

Pierre
