hello list
I wish you all the best for the season.
Can someone please help me set up my gephex MIDI connections? I had it
working (automagically) on my previous install, but I was forced to format
my hard drive recently. Now, after reinstalling gephex I am not being able
to connect it to MIDI. I am running Ubuntu Gutsy. Before this I would run
qjackctl and gephex would show up on my midi tab after I started gephex's
run mode (if I had a midi in module on the canvas), thus allowing me to
connect it to other programs and to my midi keyboard (it was an absolute
coolness). But now nothing shows up on qjackctl and the gephex console gives
me this error continuously:
@error@ [mod_midiinmodule]:> Error while opening: Error: cannot open
'/dev/midi00'
I already tried to set the midi drivers of the midi in module to default,
alsa, alsaseq and oss and I always get the same error.
I also tried switching the midi channel but that has the same result (just
the error changes to: ... Error: cannot open '/dev/midi01')
Can someone please help me out?
Thanks in advance
