[gephex-user] gephex on os x Tiger 10.4.7: i get the gui but it does does nothing! (possibly sth to do with: 'library not loaded: libaa.1.dylib' ????)

i installed georg's gephex tiger .deb

gephex_0.4.4-1_darwin-powerpc.deb

on my powerbook
with:
-Apple's X11 from the dvd
-newest xcode
-fink

and the gui shows up but clicking on any of the effects buttons does nothing
at all!
what am i doing wrong here?

here's what my xterm says:
