Are you sure you have set the recording channel of your soundcard to the 
right entrance? I had mine set to "Line In", so Gephex responded to what 
was coming from that entrance (I had it connected to my TV) insted of 
the music I was playing. And even if I wasn't playing any music there 
was this constant noise that I couldn't get rid of :) After I set it to 
record what I was playing (called "stereomix" on my soundcard) 
everything worked as expected.
