I tried FFMpeg-20050626 now...and it does about the same... (same linker 
warnings, but compiles fine).
Bad news though: make test is failing at it's first try to run ffmpeg_g 
... seems like the same problem the guy had in that forum of the link 
you posted.....

I'm not sure on how to proceed with this...I suspect those weird linker 
warnings are the reason for this, so I'll try to find out what's 
happening there for now...
