After some reading I found out that MSBuild will be supported
by visual studio .net 2005 (to be released towards the end of 2005).

There is another tool, however: vcbuild
http://www.gotdotnet.com/team/cplusplus/

It seems to be able to build sln files from the command line.
It also seems to require a visual stuido .net (2002 or 2003)
installation to work.

Philipp: could you give vcbuild a try to see whether it can build
gephex from the commandline?
Maybe we need a sln file that contains all gephex projects for that...
